Are you interested in knitting socks but don’t know where to begin? Join our Beginner Sock Knitting class with Avery! This three-class series will guide you through the entire process of knitting a top-down sock, covering all the essential techniques from start to finish.
If you’re unsure which type of needle to choose, Avery will discuss various options during the first class. You don’t need to buy needles beforehand; you can purchase them at the first class.
Level: Advanced Beginner
Pre-requisites: This class is perfect for first-time sock knitters. Students should feel confidentknitting, purling, casting on, binding off, increasing, decreasing, and knitting in the round.
Included in class:
One Sock Kit, a comprehensive beginner sock pattern by Kate Atherley, and Amble sock yarn from the Fibre Co. and a tote bag.
What to bring:
- US 1 and US 1.5 double-pointed needles (available to purchase separately at the time of the class)
- Darning needle
