Washington Park Community Meeting
Development is happening fast in the Washington Park community, with several exciting major projects recently approved by the City Council. Here are key highlights of the initiatives transforming our neighborhood:
• UChicago, UChicago Medicine & City Colleges Joint Project: A major collaborative development featuring a state-of-the-art Medicine Lab and a Learning Center complete with integrated retail space.
• Deeply Rooted Center for Black Dance Creative Communities: A vibrant new facility dedicated to arts, culture, and creative expression right in our neighborhood.
• Cleo Corner Apartments: A new residential development designed to expand quality housing opportunities in Washington Park.
• XS Tennis Hotel & Residences: An innovative mixed-use development blending sports infrastructure, hospitality, and residential spaces.
It is important to stay engaged in the process and take part in community-led discussions that support the community at large, keeping residents, homeowners, and stakeholders at the forefront. Please join the upcoming meetings to help strategize and give the necessary input to help direct development of community-friendly projects. Take the time to complete the survey so we can all rise together and make a difference. See the attached flyer for more information.
