Chicago Chorale: Spherical Madrigals
Ross Lee Finney’s “Spherical Madrigals” serves as the stirring centerpiece of Chicago Chorale’s winter concert. Composed in 1948, this rarely performed work for double choir sets texts by John Donne and other 17th century metaphysical poets. Motets by Debussy, Kay, and Parker round out the program and offer a more personal experience of the sacred. Sunday, February 28th at 3 pm at Hyde Park Union Church, featuring Guest Conductor Maurice Boyer. Tickets available at chicagochorale.org.
