Daisy’s Po-Boy of the Month – Chef Christian Hunter of Atelier
Daisy’s Po-Boy and Tavern in Hyde Park is kicking off their sandwich series in May, featuring special po-boys created by local chefs.
The Wednesday, May 1 event features Chef Christian Hunter of Atelier, and his po-boy of the month, “The Hunter,” with fried chicken, garlic collards, sharp provolone, and chicken jus.
According to a recent article in The TRiiBE, “Chef Hunter…moved to Chicago a little more than a year ago, but…has taken the city by storm, earning a Michelin star for his restaurant Atelier, receiving the Young Chef Award from the Michelin Guide along with a James Beard semi-finalist nomination, and being named one of Chicago Magazine’s best new restaurants. Hunter is currently the only Black chef in Chicago with a Michelin star, and one of only two Black chefs in the country with the honor.”
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a Q&A session with Chef Hunter, followed by live music at 6:30 p.m. with the Four Star Brass Band.
