Are you interested in knitting socks but don’t know where to begin? Join our Beginner Sock Knitting class with Avery! This three-class series will guide you through the entire process of knitting a sock, covering all the essential techniques from start to finish.

The class fee includes the One Sock Kit, a comprehensive beginner sock pattern by Kate Atherley, and Amble sock yarn from the Fibre Co. This class is perfect for first-time sock knitters. Participants should be confident in knitting, purling, and knitting in the round.

If you’re unsure which type of needle to choose, Avery will discuss various options during the first class. You don’t need to buy needles beforehand; you can purchase them at the first class.

Class dates and times

Three-part class:

Tuesdays, July 15, 22, and 29

6:00 – 8:00

Needles and notions required:

• 2.25mm (US 1) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
• 2.5mm (US 1.5) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
• Darning needle

About the instructor:  Avery Erb (she/her) is a knitwear designer and knitting instructor based in Chicago, IL. Originally from Wisconsin, she draws inspiration from distinctive colors, invigorating textures, and a lifetime of frigid winters.
