Knit Your First Sweater

Knit Your First Sweater
Take your knitting to a whole new level by knitting your first sweater by Tin Can Knits Worsted Flax raglan sweater. Students will learn how to read a pattern, swatch, increase, decrease, short rows, purl stitch, and troubleshoot common problems, as well as change colors if desired.

Prerequisites: This class is ideally suited for those who are new to sweater knitting. Students should be comfortable with basic techniques such as knitting, purling, casting on, binding off, and knitting in the round. A commitment to knitting outside of class is essential for successfully completing the sweater project. Participants must be 18 years or older.
What you should bring:
Students are eligible for a 15% discount on the yarn required for the class. The recommended yarn is Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted or The Fibre Co. Cumbria, which can be purchased at the shop. (The cost of the yarn is not included in the class fee.) To give yourself ample time to prepare, please make sure to buy your yarn at least three days before the class begins.
