Knitting 201: Design Your Own Intarsia Mitts

Play with colors and shapes to create your own unique design! Students will use sketching as a jumping-off point to create a chart for their own intarsia mitts design. After learning to calculate the measurements for their mitts, students will begin the pattern in class and learn the fundamentals of the intarsia colorwork technique. Students will also receive a demonstration on seaming with mattress stitch. All materials included.

Level:  Advanced beginner.

Pre-requisites: Knitting, purling, casting on, and binding off. Ages 15+.

Included in class:  Four skeins of The Fibre Co. Lore Minis (colors chosen in class). Worksheets and stitch markers.

What to bring: US 4 and US 6 straight needles and a tapestry needle. (available to purchase separately in the shop)
