Knitting Skills Builder: Cables – Christmas Ornament

Learn to knit cables with a simple and festive Christmas ornament project. Students will learn tips and techniques for knitting cables, reading from a chart, managing tension, and weaving in ends.

Level:  Intermediate.

Pre-requisites: Students should feel confident knitting, purling, casting on, binding off, and knitting small circumferences in the round.

Included in class:

One skein of The Fibre Co. Lore Mini (25g), poly-fil, cable needle, and the pattern.

Needles and notions required:

• 4mm (US 6) circular needle or single-pointed needles
• Darning needle
