Movies on the Midway – Wicked

The UChicago Office of Civic Engagement is teaming up with the Chicago Park District again this summer for the annual Movies on the Midway summer movie series. On Wednesdays beginning July 9, attendees will enjoy a slate of family-friendly films and themed activities at 1130 Midway Plaisance, between Ellis and University Avenues. Activities take place beginning at 7 p.m., and movies start at sunset.

This year’s series has five blockbuster hits you won’t want to miss. Grab a friend, grab some chairs, and come enjoy this summer classic. The series is set to run through August 9, with August 16 held as a rain date.

August 6: Wicked

Get swept up in the magic before the movie even starts! Enjoy a dazzling dance performance by the Hyde Park School of Dance and then jump into a mini-musical theater workshop. It’s your chance to sing, move, and feel a little “Popular” before the lights go down.
