Solemn Vespers: Saturday, January 31, 5:15pm; celebrating the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time at the Monastery of the Holy Cross, 3111 South Aberdeen, Chicago. The Monastery of the Holy Cross and Schola Laudis are in their fourteenth year of Solemn Choral Vespers, featuring the masterworks of Renaissance polyphony and traditional Gregorian chant, adapted to the contemporary liturgy conducted by Kevin Allen. We invite you to join us in the “architecturally significant and acoustically excellent” Monastery church each month. All services are free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed.
