Southside Open Mic x The Museum of Science and Industry
May 31 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT
In partnership with The Museum of Science and Industry Chicago, we’re taking our dope Southside Open Mic into their newest private event space, the Museum Garden, on Wednesday, May 31, from 6-9 pm!
Every month we provide an open platform and a mic that welcomes artists of all kinds. This includes poets, singers, musicians, comedians, and storytellers. Instruments are welcome too! If you’re looking to perform in front of a dope, supportive audience, come out & sign up! This month’s Open Mic is hosted by Kai Akili and will include special guest performances.
SIGN-UPS ARE IN PERSON, STARTING AT 6 PM & CLOSES AT 7 PM.
We welcome & support first-timers and experienced artists alike!
Not a performer? Join us & show love from the audience! It’s about supporting Chicago artists at the end of the day.
About the Museum Garden:
The Museum Garden is MSI’s newest private event space! The home’s interior offers an intimate setting for your guests to enjoy a home environment in the middle of the city—perfect for a team retreat or cocktail reception. Or, take your private event outside into the beautiful garden, which features large bur oak trees that predate the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition.
The Museum of Science and Industry is located in the beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood, just steps away from Lake Michigan and minutes from downtown Chicago, especially everyone’s favorite store, The Silver Room.
Complimentary Parking will be available in their convenient, underground garage. The entrance is located at the northwest corner of our building, at E. 57th Street and S. Cornell Ave.*
