The Four B’s: Bach, Bruckner, Brahms, and Bridges

In June, Chicago Chorale will present pianist Kit Bridges, in Johannes Brahms’ Four Quartets, Opus 92, for choir and piano, and in the final movement of the Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, “Nun, ihr Musen, genug!”  As Chorale’s rehearsal accompanist, Kit’s musical leadership and profound musicality illuminate our a cappella performances, so this is a rare opportunity for our audiences to hear him perform!  The program will also include motets by Anton Bruckner, J.S. Bach, and his older cousin and father-in-law, Johann Michael Bach—a veritable feast of the highest and best of Western European music.
