Words and Wine

Check out Words + Wine on June 1st, featuring 10 Chicago authors and their books, paired with 10 expertly selected wines. In this collaboration between the folks at 57th Street Wines and 57th Street Books, enjoy free wine tasting, book signing, bookselling, and a general sense of joy at gathering in person with other humans.

Scheduled for 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 1st, at 57th Street Wines, 1448 E 57th St, Chicago. That’s also the weekend of the 57th Street Art Fair, so we’re hoping to get some good foot traffic throughout Hyde Park. The 10 authors participating range from adult mysteries to YA to children’s:

• Sara Paretsky, with her newest book Pay Dirt
• Samira Ahmed with the brand new YA This Book Won’t Burn
• Mia P. Manansala with the latest in her mystery series Murder and Mamon
• Zetta Elliott with her latest for young readers, The War of the Witches
• James Klise with his YA set in 1930s Chicago, I’ll Take Everything You Have
• Mary Winn Heider with a children’s graphic novel The Stupendous Switcheroo
• Lori Rader-Day with The Death of Us
• Tracy Clark with her Detective Harriet Foster thriller Hide
• Amelia Brunskill with the YA Wolfpack
• Kate Hannigan with the picture book biography of inventor, girl boss, and Chicagoan Josephine and Her Dishwashing Machine
