Sneakerville 88 is owned and managed by the father and daughter team of James and Jamee Denman.
James Denman grew up in the city’s Englewood neighborhood. Graduating from Currie High School in 1988, James transferred his love for his youth into his career as an entrepreneur. The number 88 brand has carried James through the successful opening of four businesses, including Harold’s Chicken 88, Harold’s Chicken Sports Bar 88, Sneakerville 88 in Bronzeville, and the newest location, Sneakerville 88 in Hyde Park.
Jamee Denman played basketball for Bogan High School and California State University, Bakersfield. In addition to managing the store, she also coaches youth basketball.
