Five decades of customers have left their mark on the wood tables and brick walls of the Medici – a local institution for students, professors, and generations of families. The “Med” serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner and is known for their pizza, burgers, and milk shakes. Formerly BYOB, they now serve beer, wine, and cocktails like “The Southside Joe” and the “Medicilada.” Bread and desserts are made fresh at their bakery next door, where people snap up $1 pastries before it closes at midnight – and the deli is great when you’re in a rush but must have that Fresh Mozz.
